I pay car insurance every month can I claim it?

Yes, you can claim your car insurance but only if you use it to earn business income-either as an employee or as self employed.

If you are employed, from home to first destination (including main location of employment) and from last destination back home is considered commuting expenses which are nondeductible.

However, miles traveled between the two for your employer are deductible.
