I never cashed my third stimulus check because the check was lost in a move. I found it, it's expired. How do I go about claiming the Recovery Rebate Credit?

I've already filed this years taxes if that is going to be an issue. I couldn't figure out where to put it, because all the information I found was in regards to 2021 tax season.

You need to report the check as lost to the IRS and have them re-issue the check to you.

Mail or fax a completed IRS Form 3911, Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund.
