If you filed and realized there is an error and you want to resend it with corrections, you must do an amended return. It doesn't matter if you submit an amended return two days or two years later. The checks TurboTax does is pretty good so you shouldn't have errors. However, you may have omitted something you want to add after filing. So the amended return option. You will have to mail it in as e-filing an amended return is now allowed.
