For your 2019 return, you cannot change your information once a return has been accepted & processed.  You will be able to change your personal information when you file your 2020 return.

Right now you can send in a change of address form (8822) to the IRS.

If you need to change your information for your State, you can go to your State's website for information.

While you are in the amended return you should go to your personal information and change the address.  This will be used on the amended return.

How do I change my address?

1. Go My Info.
2. On the Personal info summary screen, scroll down and click the pencil next to Mailing Address.
3. You will be able to update your address on the next screen.
