Are you a CPA or do you need one?

TurboTax does provide a license for commercial use and you probably won't get a CPA if you contact Support.

Select Live TurboTax.  This option increases the amount you pay for your product.  Click the icon for Live help and will get a form to request Live help and set up an appointment to be called.  When they call you can tell them you need to speak to a CPA.  You will then be contacted by a CPA.  Often the person who calls you back will be an Enrolled Agent or Tax Attorney and that person may be able to answer your questions without waiting for a CPA to call you back.

I was on the phone with TurboTax and they were unable to transfer me to a CPA for help regarding 1031 exchange and a federal disaster in 2017 exemption how it affects my 2024 tax year. They had a "tax expert" that had some unknown tax credit.  Even though the advertising for the service says we are allowed to talk to a CPA that was not my experience when calling in today.

TurboTax Experts can hold one of three credentials: CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent. Holders of any of these three credentials at TurboTax are well qualified to answer your tax questions. 

If you have a question that is accounting-specific, for example, and you really want to speak to a CPA, and you let that be known when you contact TurboTax for Expert help, you can have a CPA call you back, but you may need to wait longer until a CPA is available.
