I may have already completed my tax return by a third party CPA, but cannot confirm due to non availability. Do I need an extension?

I currently do not have any tax documents which are with CPA. I don’t know if I owe taxes or have a return.

That is a problem for you to discuss with the CPA that prepared your tax return. TurboTax cannot find out for you whether you owe or are getting a refund. A paid tax professional should provide you with all the information regarding your tax return and give you a copy of it for your records.
