I'm using Home & Business CD. E-file isn't working because I don't have an employer, yet program is insisting I imput employer's zip code and state. What can I do?

 Have you verified that you do not have any partial/incomplete W-2's information in the wages & income section?.  This would cause TurboTax to ask for an employers zip code and state.  If you have a W-2 to delete follow these steps:

  • With TurboTax open select the Wages & Income tab
  • Click edit/add on the W-2 you no longer have
  • On the page Here's your W-2 info click on the trash can icon
  • On the page Are you sure you want to delete this W-2? click yes to delete the W-2
