I'm trying to receive my Stimulus package, which the IRS page says I'm eligible for, but when I input my AGI and Return numbers, it says it doesnt match their records?

I entered the same information exactly as I inputted from TurboTax however I get the message that "The information you have entered does not match our records. Please enter information from your 2018 tax return instead and try again." Which I also tried but I received the message. My 2019 taxes were accepted on March 21 so it's been enough time. Can anyone help?

are you trying to update your direct deposit information? Otherwise, there is no need to apply for the stimulus or receive a stimulus package.

just to be sure you are picking up the correct number, AGI is line 7 on the 2018 return and Line 8B on the 2019 return

you will get the stimulus, the question is whether by direct deposit or by check.

I am having the same issue. I only rec'd a partial because my husband passed mid year, but when answering the questions they gave me back the 600. However, no matter how many times I double check and re enter the AGI, they still reject it. I wonder if this is a glitch in the program? It is getting very aggravating, esp after paying for the program and then not being able to submit it online.

@cwonyg - I am sorry for your loss....

first, since you spouse passed in 2020, are you filing joint? you have the legal right to do so.  Just want to be sure that isn't the hiccup.

assuming your income is less than $150,000 (because you filed married- joint), you should see $2400 + 1200 less the amounts you received for the 1st two stimulus payments on Line 30.

The fact that your husband passed mid-year has no bearing on what you are entitized to!!!! So we need to clear up that misunderstanding! (there is a caveat related to the 1st stimulus, but I will leave that until later if it comes up).

how much did you receive (including your spouse) for the 1st stimulus and the 2nd stimulus?

please post back what I've requested and we can figure this out!

@cwonyg - also, I do not think you can efile with a deceased spouse.

Who is listed first on the tax return? you or your husband.  If your husband, switch the order and then resubmit and see if taht works. if it doesn't the reason you can't efile is as I state above.
