I'm trying to enter the school district number on my state return. It keeps kicking it back saying it's not correct. I've double checked 100 times. I'm stuck. Help!

I live in Lakewood, Ohio. The school district number is 1817. But turbo tax keeps saying it's not. I refuse to upgrade and spend more money.

No.  I haven't figured out what's going on with that.

Living in a non tax district (1817), user should not have clicked start at SD Taxes.  Apparently,  once you erroneously enter the School District Income Tax (SDIT) section of TurboTax (TT), you can't escape.

Try this: when asked for a different SD #, enter any taxing district (e.g. 2305) .  That should get you a screen that gives you the choice to include or exclude the SD return. Click exclude.

Alternatively: Go into Tax Tools (left menu bar), then Tools, then Delete form.  If you delete the SD 100, the error will go away.
