I lost my state ID

In most states, entering the drivers license or State ID is recommended but not required. 

• If you misplaced your State ID, you can leave the driver's license/state ID information blank, and still file your return.

• Two states, Illinois and Alabama, require a driver's license or ID to file a state return.
