Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I learned that since I am purchasing TurboTax Self-Employed, I will get Quikbooks for free. Can I pay TurboTax ahead and start my membership with Quikbooks now?

I realized how stupid I am not to buy Quikbooks for my newly starting business (it started last year). So I don't want to make that mistake again and start entering all the info now. Would it be possible for me to pay ahead (instead of waiting to file, since it might take a little longer for me than expected) and start my Quikbooks service?

Yes, you can pay for TurboTax Self-employed to get access to your Quickbooks Self-employed, without filing. Head to the File tab and you'll need to answer the questions to get ready to file. However, you don't submit your taxes until after you pay. After payment, you'll be ready to access Quickbooks and you can return at any time to finish your taxes.

Note: Since you are breaking steps apart, if you want to e-file your state, be sure to do so with your federal return. State returns cannot be e-filed separately. This may or may not apply to you!

Thank you so much for that! Would paying ahead, before completing everything about the taxes, would I be able to go back and edit everything as normal and then file/submit my return?

So all I need to do is go to File, answer the questions up to the payment section, and I pay. But I do not submit (because paying Turbotax is separate from one final click that would submit the files). Am I correct?

Thanks!'

Okay, it worked! 🙂 Thanks so much.

Just letting know for others who try this: Just go to the File tab and pay at the first step (it is a 3-step process and all you need to do is the first step where you pay TurboTax). Do not do the other 2 steps, unless you are ready to file. But TurboTax will give you an option to only do Step 1, so don't worry.

Once you pay, go ahead and click the link Amanda gave above: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://selfemployed.intuit.com/login?utm_source=QBO&utm_medium=Web&utm_content=SignIn">https://self...>

And it will automatically start your Quickbooks 1 year period! 🙂

Thanks so much for the help.
