You can only e-file your State taxes if you have first e-filed and had accepted your Federal taxes on TurboTax. If you have not first e-filed your Federal taxes and had them accepted you would have to print and file your State taxes by mail. The TurboTax State program is designed to pull (transfer) information from your federal return. For this reason, TurboTax State is not sold as a standalone tax-preparation product.
