The tag below your question says that you are using TurboTax Online. What you bought at Costco is the CD/Download TurboTax software. They are two different products. You do not go to the TurboTax web site to use the CD/Download software. You install the software on your computer (Windows or Mac). The first time that you run the program after you install it, it will ask you to enter the license code.

If you use TurboTax Online on the TurboTax web site, you do not need a license code. You pay for TurboTax Online on the web site when you print or e-file your tax return.
