I initiated extension to file returns on Turbotax. The status says "accepted". Will I be able to confirm with IRS too? Will I get a letter from IRS confirming extension?

I want to make sure that my extension is actually approved by IRS so I can be at peace and plan on filing my returns by Oct.

IRS does not notify you unless your extension request is denied.

Approval is automatic.
