I heard I can lookup or get my w2 online (turbo tax). I need that as I lost w2 form. I am using intuit's free file and there is no option to lookup w2. How do I do this?

TurboTax does not have a copy of the W-2 or Form 1099.
If you cannot obtain the W-2 from your employer, then for a fee you can get a complete copy of a W-2 from the Social Security Administration - https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-02501
You can get a free Wage and Income transcript from the IRS - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return to include copies of W-2's, if you mailed the tax return and included a paper W-2, from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

TurboTax has the ability to import a W-2 from an employer if the employer is a TurboTax import partner. The purpose of the import function is to save you the trouble of entering all the information from your W-2 manually. It's not to find a W-2 that you don't have. You have to have the actual W-2 in order to import it. For security, you have to enter certain information from the W-2 in order to import it. This is to prevent someone else from importing your W-2 and filing a fraudulent tax return in your name.
If you lost your W-2, the easiest and fastest way to get it is to ask your employer for another copy. If you cannot get it from your employer, see DoninGA's post above for other ways to get a copy. If you live or work in a state that has state income tax, note that a Wage & Income Transcript from the IRS will not include the state information from the W-2. That would leave the Social Security Administration as your only option.
