If you didn’t receive an email confirming that your stimulus payment is on the way, we may not have enough information to process a payment for you. However, we are still working with the IRS and Treasury to find an alternative way to deliver your stimulus payment.

The IRS advises people that if they don’t receive the full Economic Impact Payment they should file their 2020 tax return electronically and claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their tax return to get their payment and any refund as quickly as possible.

I just dont understand how you can not have enough information.  Bank account has not changed and I received by first stimulus.  I also checked irs site and my first stimulus was sent to my bank account on file.  I'm trying to to be upset, because I understand these things happen, but I also expect direct answers to customers who are all having the same issue.  Nothing has changed, but no second email.  I have been a customer of TT for over 20 years...this is so frustrating.  Direct answers would help to ease the mind of some many.

Not receiving an email does not mean that you will not receive the stimulus payment.  Since the payments began processing January 8 for those affected (a Friday), the company announcement did mention that it may take a few business days for the payment to reflect in your bank account.  The same is true with the IRS updating its website to reflect the payment status in its system.

Only in a worst-case scenario, where the IRS is neither able to send a direct deposit nor mail a check would it be necessary to claim the stimulus as additional refund on their return.  The majority will receive their stimulus payment very soon.
