I have not had a job for over 1 year and have not been drawing unemployment benefits. Do I still need a W2 or similar income documentation to finish filing my taxes?

I am a full time student living off of the GI Bill housing stipend and have not had a job for over a year. I am also not drawing unemployment benefits and do not have any of the associated tax documents for these situations. It seems however that these are still required to finish filing my taxes. If these documents don't exist how can I proceed?

If you have no taxable income you are not required to file a tax return.    What are you trying to enter on a tax return?

Who has to file?
