I got an error wen trying to submit my Tax Return. It says that my tax return has already been filed twice even though I didn't file it yet. Please help.

If you used the non filer portal to register for the stimulus payment, it efiled a tax return for you with $0 income. You must now print and mail a  return to get it accepted.

In this situation, you would normally be required to prepare, print and mail an amended return form 1040X. However, we believe you can just print your "real" 1040 and write "Amended Return" across the top and mail it. Use the filing instructions that print with your return for what to include and where to mail it. 

The IRS is currently not processing mailed returns. It is not know when they will resume processing them so there is no way for predict how long it will take for you to get your refund.

When they do start processing it, you can track it using the IRS refund tracking web site:

Generally, if a return is filed under your SSN, you must file a paper tax return via US Mail.
