I filed by mail because my e-file got rejected. It’s been a month, I checked on where’s my refund on irs.gov it says there’s no info on my return. How do I fix my efile?

I filed by mail because my e-file got rejected. It’s been a month, I checked on where’s my refund on irs.gov it says there’s no info on my return. How do I fix my efile?

If you filed by mail due to a rejected return they might not have received/processed your information yet.  You can try to order a transcript which may have additional information about your return here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-return-transcript-types-and-ways-to-order-them

Also, you may want to try to call the IRS directly here: 1-800-829-1040 (7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday),  selecting Option 2. 

You can correct your e-file, only if you have not mailed in your return.  It can cause problems if you mailed in your return and then submitted your return electronically.  

If after speaking to the IRS, they still do not have any record of your information and advised you to resubmit, then you can utilize the below information:
