I filed a federal extension. Do I need to file a separate NY State? TurboTax is not slowing me to file a NY State extension it say I already filed an extension?

NY does have its own separate extension.  If you go back into TurboTax and enter the New York return, you should be able to enter the information for the extension and file.  However, you can also visit the NY website for additional information and file the extension:   https://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/income_extensions.htm
