Using TurboTax Premier (Mac) installed from CD.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Right-click on the file and "Get Info", then turn down the arrow by the "Name & Extension" details and you'll see that the extension didn't change like you thought it did. Once you change the extension at the end of the filename to ".TXF" in this window, then you will be able to import it into turbotax.
Try changing "turbotax" to another name and then remove .txt, leaving .txf. It worked for me.
