The verification codes are still part of a pilot program being evaluated by the IRS.  

However, an incorrect or omitted verification code will not delay the processing of your return, so if you are still having issues moving forward with your return, you can remove the code from box 9.  Please see the below link from the IRS for more information on this. Hope this helps!

If you dont have a verification code on your W2, you can leave it blank on Turbo tax, however if for any reason it takes you to the loop and says efiling not possible then go back to the section asking verification code and then make sure to manually remove the by default wording on the field box 9 " wages and ***" - this is an issue with the software and resulting in loops back prompting to paper file

Sometimes there are words written in the Box 9 delete the words to move forward with filing.
