I live in Europe and I am filing from outside the USA.

I can't finish my tax return because I do not have a valid US phone number??

After spending an hour preparing my TurboTax return
It seems like I am stuck.  It is not smart enough to manage foreign phone numbers.  So TurboTax won't let me proceed. 

Now what do??

Just leave it blank.

It is not possible to lave it blank.  TurboTax won't let me finish the return. I can not proceed.

The IRS doesn’t call so I don’t know why it is asked for. Just use a friend’s number from the U.S. or just make one up.
