I do federal taxes for some of the church folks. I do not charge anything and I want to efile more than the 5 allotted free efile with the software?

How do I apply to get more efiles?

Sorry you can't.  Not in the personal Turbo Tax program.  Maybe some can use the online regular Turbo Tax Free Edition or the Free File website.

To qualify for the Free File website  you just need to meet one of these 3 things

AGI $36,000 or less

Active duty military with AGI of $69,000 or less

OR qualify for EIC (earned income credit.)

In order to use the Free File program, you have to start it at a special website.

5 efiles is an IRS limit per computer and email address.  I think it's to prevent fraud and people filing a lot of fake returns.

And to prepare more than five e-files, you will need to sign up with the IRS as an ERO - an Electronic Returns Originator.  How to become an Authorized E-file Provider…..
