Send your 2023 tax return now. You don't have to do anything special. If you are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing late.

You can still efile 2023 until Oct 15.  Did you try to efile or did it reject?  Go back through the File tab all the way to the end and try to efile.  Click on Add a State to let you back into your return.
