Did you efile? In order to efile you have to electronically sign the return before it will let you transmit it. There is no physical signature. You "sign" on a page that asks for a 5-digit PIN (any 5 digits of your choice), your birth date, and today's date. When you enter those 3 things, that is what "signs" your return. Did you do that, and then proceeded on to transmit the return?
Or see my next comment below for another possibility.
Or is this what you were ultimately wanting to ask?
Did you already file, but have now printed out your documents? Is someone like a loan officer asking for a signed copy of your return? If so, just sign and date it. I would probably use the date that I had efiled it.
