I claimed zero allowances on my w4 form for work why is federal taxes not being taken out?

Discuss with your employer.

the W-4 is meant to mimic the tax return.   ir means at your income level you will be receiving a refund in any evente, so there is no need for the employer to withhold anything.  Pleasae post the following and I can explain in further detal:

1) you approx expected income for 2023.

2) your filing status

3) the number of children under the age of 17 in your household
