I chose the 0 dollar option to file an extension. How do I know the extension has been filed?

I filled out all the questions, estimated our income, was led to end where you pay Turbotax or not, but no confirmation.

For your federal Extension.

If you are preparing your extension on time, it should be granted. 

You can use TurboTax Easy Extension, and you'll get a confirmation from TurboTax within 48 hours.

This is also available in the TurboTax software.

For your state extension status  

Many states will use the federal extension, and not require an additional extension to be filed.

If your state requires that you file an extension separately, you'll have to contact the taxing authorities in your state to check on its status.
