2 reps had no clue and ended up "accidentally" hanging up on me during a transfer.
None of the combinations 123 Main str/main st/Main st. worked ...
561 mane str worked for me
THIS WORKS!
When you go to the payment page to skip the extra $ 39 they try to squeeze out of you for taking it out of your refund, just put in "123 Main St" as your address with your city, state and zip code and wala, it works, really need a new software designer.
THANKS!
THANK YOU!!!! THIS WORKED FOR ME!! Customer service representatives are awful and will not transfer you to the finance / billing department. Changing my billing address to 561 mane str worked, 123 Main st does not work.
BLUF: Shamefully still a problem in 2023, HOWEVER the workaround using "123 Main St" as your billing address still works.
SO.. as a software developer I can deduce the likely causes for this error, AND recognize that it should have been fixed by the dev or QA teams 2 years ago. Good grief. Since it only happens to some customers, there are several possibilities: (a) the nature of some street addresses causes an issue (fails some pattern match or there is a length issue - either way that would be very poor design), (b) an old verification database is being used that does not recognize some newer street addresses as valid (also very poor system design if that's the case - should not be using a static address verification source), or (c) "123 Main St" is a testing value left in the system that bypasses the address verification altogether (the root cause is then still unknown, but the workaround works).
Yep.. still works, too (2023). Clearly the software developers at Intuit don't bother to checkin with the community posts or the support folks.
I am not going get into all the frustration and hours over the phone with people who literally didn't know what they were doing, instead I will share how I fixed it. In my particular case I had to add a previous address I lived in because the famous 123 Main Street didn't worked for me and also was getting a server error while using the option to deduct this from my return. I had the same problem last year and thought it was going to be fixed by now, unfortunately this will be my last year using Turbotax
Go into My Info & change just your physical address to 123 Main St. Leave the city, state & zip the same. Enter your credit card info & it should go through. Then you can go back & change back your address to the correct one.
Hello everyone..this did help and have received both refunds.
Good Luck and thanks!

Just further evidence that this glitch is intention on the part of Turbotax!
This year 561 mane str worked for me ...
Last year it was 123 Main str ...
Same! "123 Main St", which TurboTax support recommended to me, didn't work.
I left all of my address info correct except used "561 mane str" for the street and it worked! You saved me so much time, thank you!! I wonder if it has anything to do with a "123 Main St" actually existing in my zip code (it does).
I can concur 561 Mane st works!
I was told they couldn't eFile my returns and told me to search for updates to the program. And that solved my problem.
This seriously worked! Thank you! @cblettenberg
Sounds like a class action suit in the making
