I bought TurboTax deluxe. I am now trying to pay to file both federal and state but I am not sure how to do it.

What did you buy?  The CD or Download Deluxe?  Or did you pay for the Online version?  If you already paid for Online, efiling is included.  

If you bought the Desktop Deluxe it is free to file federal and $25 to efile state.  Or you can print and mail state for free.  

I think you may have bought the Desktop program but ended up in the Online version by mistake.   Do you have a 16digit License Code?  You need to install the Desktop program on your computer. Sorry you can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program purchase to the Online version.  They are separate prices and work different.  You have to pay for online and try to get a refund for the Desktop program.  Or switch to your program.
