I bought TT Home and Business CD/Download. How can my daughter download it to her computer? Does she sign in with her own account ID and cell phone for the code?

No, your daughter cannot download the TurboTax program to her computer.

You purchased the software and your software license only allows you to download and install the software on up to 5 computers that you personally own.

Technically, you can create as many tax returns on your 5 computers as you'd like (although only 5 of them can be federally efiled).  However, it has to be you sitting in front of those computers creating the tax returns.

If everyone bought the CD and/ or shared it with other people, whether, they are family or just friends, the cost of the software would be prohibitably expense for all us of.  Thanks for NOT sharing the CD!

For the CD version, after you download it from the account you purchased it with, you can copy the downloaded file to a USB drive and use that to transfer/copy the installation file to another computer. A few notes:

If you purchased the CD version for windows, it can only be installed on a Windows PC. It will not install on a MAC, iPhone, Chromebook, or any other type of device.

If you purhcaesd the CD version for MAC, it can only be installed on a MAC PC. It will not install on Windows, an iPhone, Chromebook, or any other type of device.

The software will not install from the USB drive directly. YOu will need to copy it to the download folder of whatever computer you're installing it on, and then install it from that download folder.

You can only activate the sofewater 5 times, and that's it. So at best, you can install it on 5 computers. Licensing requires that you own the computers it's installed on.

So you can activate the software once, on 5 computers, or 5 times on 1 computer. Once 5 activations is reached, that's it for that downloaded installation file.
