How do i transfer my 2017 info into my 2018 return

If this option is available (depends on the version you used last year), TurboTax will prompt you to transfer last year's information into your current year's tax return.

If you are using TurboTax online, you have to be in the right account.

I used same version in 2017 as 2018, it did not prompt me to transfer from last year

What version?  Also, was it desktop or online?

I bought and downloaded from Amazon.

OK.  That is desktop.  What version did you use last year? Did you use a CD / download or did you use TurboTax online?

This is important though: was it a CD and / or download last year as well as this year?  Or did you use TurboTax online (in the cloud last year)?  The Home and Business is offered both ways.

my account got locked out for some reason?  no I downloaded it.

If you used the download product last year and you are using it again this year, the program is going to pull last year's numbers from the .tax file on your hard drive.  Have you changed computers?

I just got it transferred.  You must click open another return, then select it where ever you had it stored, ie documents.  I did this and it transferred all info from last year.  Thank you.
