I am trying to use TurboTax Business 2017 to file a Federal 1041 return for a Revocable Trust. But TurboTax will not accept a sale date by the Trust of 04/28/2017.

I am trying to use TurboTax Business 2017 to file a Federal 1041 return for a Revocable Trust.  The only asset in that Trust was a house.  The Trust sold the house on 04/28/2017.  The problem I have having is that TurboTax Business 2017 will not accept that date as the sale date.  The message TurbotTax gives me is:  "The date of sale you entered is not within the tax year of 7/08/2017 through 05/31/2018."  I do not know how to proceed.   Is there a mistake within TurboTax?  How can I use TurboTax to file this return? ???

" "The date of sale you entered is not within the tax year of 7/08/2017 through 05/31/2018.""

Ensure that you did not inadvertently select a tax year that began on 7/8/2017; the vast majority of trusts are required to use a calendar year (see screenshot).
