How to transfer your 2023 desktop data to TurboTax Online

1. Sign in to your TurboTax Online account and start a new return for the 2024 tax year.
2. Once you are in your new online return, navigate to the Tax Tools menu.
3. Select Tools from the drop-down menu.
4. In the Tools Center pop-up window, click the link that says "Transfer last year's TurboTax return from your computer".
5. Find and select your .tax2023 data file from your computer when prompted.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer process.
