Here's an FAQ on how to apply the Lyft discount:

Important: Always access TurboTax from your Lyft driver dashboard. You can access TurboTax by selecting Tax Informationor Accelerate Rewards pages in your driver dashboard. Do not go directly to the TurboTax website to access your tax return, or it won't apply the discount.

FAQ:    Why isn’t my Lyft discount being applied to my TurboTax account? 

If you signed into TurboTax through the TurboTax website instead of through your Lyft driver dashboard, you won’t see your Lyft discount applied to your TurboTax account.

Important: Always access TurboTax from your Lyft driver dashboard. You can access TurboTax by selecting Tax Information or Accelerate Rewards pages in your driver dashboard. Do not go directly to the TurboTax website to access your tax return.

This applies whether you are starting your tax return for the first time, continuing your tax return in TurboTax, or filing your tax return in TurboTax. Starting on your Lyft driver dashboard ensures you'll get the Lyft discount on your TurboTax return.

When Visiting TurboTax for the first time from your Lyft Dashboard

If you are accessing from the Tax Information page, select the Get started now button on the TurboTax offer banner at the top of the page.

If you are accessing from the Accelerate Rewards page select the TurboTax offer and then select the Redeem rewardbutton.

Once you’ve accessed TurboTax from your Lyft driver dashboard, select TurboTax Self-Employed or TurboTax Self-Employed Live as the version of TurboTax to use for your tax return. You’ll be asked to set up a user ID and password before you can start your return.

If You See a Charge for TurboTax When Getting Ready to File Your Return

If you see a charge from TurboTax when you are about to finish filing your return, your discount has not been applied. To fix this, go to your Lyft driver dashboard and access TurboTax from either the Tax information or Accelerate Rewards to access TurboTax through your Lyft driver dashboard. Finish your tax return and get to the Review your order screen (in the File section). You'll now see your complimentary billing status along with the message, Your discount has been applied.

Please note that our agents are unable to apply or issue refunds for Lyft partner discounts if the return was prepared at the regular TurboTax.com site. You must start TurboTax from your Lyft dashboard and then always access TurboTax through the link on that dashboard, anytime you work on your TurboTax return.
