I am not claiming my son this year- Therefore I do not need the Deluxe package- I need to know how to take it off.

It's a basic 1040. Originally I was going to claim my son, but his father did instead and now it won't let me take the Deluxe addition off. I can't clear, because I had already tried to electronically file, so it won't let me alter it. But, I don't need it.

There might be a different reason you need Deluxe because you can enter dependents in the Free Edition too.  But You can try to clear and start over  https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4248526
