I am not allowed to e-file because the employer name has too many characters on state return, is there a way I can change this so I can e-file?

It's making me file by mail for state return because of that issue and now I will have to file by mail for federal since I cannot do both. I would rather e-file because it will be faster.

Edit the W-2 and reduce the amount of letters in the employer name to 30 total.

Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Wages & Income

On the W-2 shown, click on the Edit/Add button

If my employer just reported my income to the irs, how long will it be before I get my return
