I was using the 1099-B tab to upload a broker statement (manually) on 2020 desktop and it keeps freezing.
I have tried all the troubleshooting methods. When I put "Run as administrator" it asks for my activation code?
I have updated my computer and am running Windows 10.
It has been working fine for hours. Any help please ?
If your import from your financial institution is not working property, click this link for info on How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions, which is perfectly acceptable to the IRS.
You may need to mail your Form 8453 with a copy of your 1099-B to the IRS separate from your Efiled tax return. TurboTax will tell you if this is necessary.
Click this link for more info on Mailing Form 8949 for Summary Totals.
I am also having a similar issue. We got everything entered, but the page WILL NOT move forward after that. It freezes if I click anything other than upgrade... I don't want or need to upgrade... I have tried multiple different things to correct it, but it will not move forward.
If you have a form in your return that requires you to upgrade to another service level, you will not be able to finish your return. I had the same problem. After uploading from brokerage account, it would freeze when trying to update Investment Income. How I resolved it was to switch to "Forms View" and correct errors - turns out cost basis had not been filled in on several uploaded transactions. One the errors were corrected, the system worked fine.
