I am filing for a taxpayer who passed away in January 2025. Why does TurboTax say they owe estimated taxes?

Where on the Form 1040 dos it show that I am filing for someone who is deceased?

You will indicate the person has passed in the my info section.  Follow these steps to enter:

• Sign into TurboTax
• Select My Info
• Continue until you see, "Let's check other situations"
• Select "I am preparing this return for the person, who has passed away
• Enter the date they passed away (see screenshot below)
