Why do I owe 10,000 more this year then last ?

We can't see your return, so we can't say. You may want to compare your result from last year with this year's result in order to see what changed. Many have been seeing two areas in particular: limitations on itemized deductions, and changes in the withholding tables. This has especially affected double-earning married couples.
