I somehow deleted my 2016 TurboTax Premium for mac. I redownloaded it from Amazon but it won't open. I have my 2016 tax files on my computer. How can I open them?

If your file  has a state  return in it then you must install the state program before you can open it.  Start a new fake return and enter in just enough info to be able to click the state tab and get the required state installed.

Thanks. I guess I wasn't clear. TurboTax the program won't open/load. It just bounces on the dock and then goes away. I can't start a fake return if the program won't open.
