I read that you can override an entry by going into the actual form and making the change. However, if you override an entry, you cannot e-file your return. At least, that is what I read.
It's OK to switch to Forms Mode if you want to look at a form or two, but constantly switching back and forth between Forms Mode and the interview has been known to cause problems and data corruption. To switch to Forms Mode, please see our Help Article for further instructions.
