How to pay amount owed

I e-filed and owed money, but it hasn't come out of my bank account yet. Does TurboTax send my payment to the government? Or am I supposed to?

Usually a few days after the return is fully processed or the date you selected, whichever is later is when the direct debit will be processed.  However, if you didn't select a date, then the default date is April 18th this year.

A status of Accepted means only that they have received your tax return.  Processed means they have reviewed it and processed the return.
