Hi,
I changed my job in 2023 and received a 1099-MISC form with some amount in BOX3 from my previous employer. I believe it is miss filed as this amount should be in my W-2 (I also received a W-2 from the previous employer). Now I would like to follow what is described in https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/3658376 and file form 8919. However, the instructions seem not to fit in TurboTax online (i.e. I am not able to find that checkbox including "your employer reported on a 1099 but it should have been on a W2").
Can you please instruct how to do it in TurboTax online? FYI I've already made the payment for this return. So it would be best if I could just add it from TurboTax online.

Here's how to report the income on Form 8919. You will enter the income as additional wages that were not reported on a W-2. You will have to pay the Social Security and Medicare taxes that the employer should have withheld from the payment. This will be the same amount that would have been withheld if your employer had handled it correctly and included the payment in your W-2.
You do not enter the 1099-MISC in TurboTax, and you do not file Form SS-8.
The income will be reported on Form 1040 line 1g. Form 8919 will be included in your tax return, with reason code H in column (c). Form 8919 will calculate the Social Security and Medicare taxes. The total of these taxes will appear on Schedule 2 line 6 and will be included in your total tax liability.
