I received a 1099b from Uphold, a cryptocurrency exchange. It says "Short-term transactions for which basis is not reported to the IRS - report on Form 8949 with Box B checked, and/or Schedule D Part 1. Proceeds are reported as gross proceeds unless otherwise indicated (2, 6, 12). The 1099b data referenced by a Box Number is reported to the IRS. The additional information not referenced by a Box Number is not reported to the IRS but may be helpful to complete your return."
For someone who is more familiar with Turbotax, do these instructions make sense? If so, is there a simple way to add Form 8949 to my return? My total short-term gain from cryptocurrencies last year was about $800 if that helps in answering this question. Thank you for any feedback.
