How much does it cost to not pay from my return

TT is charging me $35 to have my funds directly taken out of my refund.  Is it the same if I just pay fees from my debit card?

You avoid that 34.99 service fee if you pay your TurboTax product fees upfront directly by credit or debit card.  I'll tell you how below.

Did you choose to pay the TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund?  If so, there is an additional 34.99 service fee for that refund processing option.  (39.99 for California filers, where it is bundled with Premium Services.)

If you did choose that option to pay out of your Federal refund, you can remove it prior to filing and then pay the TurboTax fee upfront with credit card, debit card, or a prepaid debit card you can buy in a store.   Here's how, depending on your location:
