How many e-filings do I get with the deluxe desk top version of Turbo-tax?

You can file up to 5 federal returns, but will have to pay 24.99 for each state return. You can print one state return free, but will have to file it by mail.

With the CD/Download software (installs on your computer), you get 5 free Federal e-files, any returns after that would have to be mailed.  There is a charge to e-file a State return.  To avoid the e-file charge you can mail in the State return.

If you want the CD/Download software, you can purchase it from TurboTax at the following website:

It is showing you are using the Online version, with the Online version, you pay for the Federal return & State return, there is no charge to e-file.  The charge is the same whether you e-file or mail in your return.

If you use TurboTax CD/Download, you can prepare an unlimited number of returns and e-file up to 5 federal returns.
