How long does it take for my state to get rejected or accepted because it’s still pending

What do I do taxes are supposed to be filed today but my is still pending?

Each state is different. Some states take a few days to accept or reject a tax return. But if it's accepted it will be considered filed on the date that you sent it, even if it took the state a few days to acknowledge it.
