What state are you referring to?

 

Generally, states use one of these three methods.

 

  • They don’t tax income at all.
  • They impose a flat tax. That means they tax all income, or dividends and interest only in some cases, at the same rate.
  • They impose a progressive tax. That means they tax higher levels of income at higher rates.

If you have not filed yet, View your tax summary.  

This will summarize your income, taxes, payments and refund from the menu on the left: 

 

Choose Tools/Tax Tools/View Tax Summary.  See this link for more details:  View my Tax Summary before Filing  (The State Tax Summary will be just above the Federal Tax Summary in the black menu also)
