Are you asking how to enter interest income earned outside of a qualified retirement plan?
If so, enter per the below steps:
Type in 1099-int the search box, top right of your screen, then click the magnifying
Click the jump to 1099-int link in the search results
Follow to prompts and online instructions
Arrive at the Let's get your 1099-INT or brokerage statement details page
Type in the source of your income in the Received from field
Enter the interest income in Box #1 Interest income field
Make sure you are past the blue Pick up where I left off button before you enter the above
Any follow-up to this question? I imported my 1099 but TT did not put the non-qualified interest on the 1099-INT form. The consolidated 1099 says that this NQI is not reported to the IRS. Does that mean we don't have to report it?
